An Apple A Day (Warning: Death)
A year ago the world was overpopulated.
Places that had previously only contained a small amount of people at a time had become so full it was difficult to go a few feet without needing to push past someone.
If you lived in one of the more populated areas you may have needed to sleep standing up, surrounded by strangers as everyone you knew had been swept away in the crowd.
Places that had once been completely deserted had suddenly gained a population. People moving to burning hot deserts and icy cold Antarctica to escape the mob of people continuing to grow.
Then a month ago it stopped.
The population started slowly decreasing.
People star
It’s like I’m trapped within a cage
The synchronized turning of every page
Being forced to stand on a stage
These people all fill me with rage
“I could easily destroy this place
To find me they would have to chase
I could turn the walls into rubble-”
OH SH-! They heard me! Now I’m in trouble!
The class writing about a book we read
As another part of my soul drops dead
But I’m too distracted by the clocks tick
“Mum I can’t go today, I’m sick…
Cough, cough.”

There is this feeling I cannot shake
Something follows me slithering like a snake
I fear there is something that is creepy
Hiding under my bed when I feel sleepy
I hear the howling of vicious hounds
The beasts malicious and escaping from pounds
I hear maniacal laugh of a clown
I see the undead crawl and frown
There are things stalking me in the dark
Children have been abducted by creatures hiding in the park
There are things unknown hiding just out of sight
These are the thoughts that fill me with fright
